New Stores

     When considering opening a new store location our first preference is to own our space but we also lease free standing or shopping center locations. Ocean State Job Lot is a private company so we do not have a set number of locations we need to open each year but over the last 5 years we have typically opened 4-8 locations each year. Please review the criteria below or download our criteria.


New Store Criteria:

  • Lease opportunities of 30,000 square feet +/- in free standing or shopping center locations
  • Purchase opportunities of shopping centers with at least a 25,000 square foot contiguous vacancy or potential thereof.
  • Relocation opportunities in existing trade areas
  • Looking for up to 5 acres plus suitable for commercial sites
