Loss Prevention Specialist (Multi-Store Detective) Boston South Locations

General Description:

This is an Entry Level Position. Protect Company assets by detecting and apprehending external store theft and fraud.

Essential Reponsibilities

Detect and respond to external theft and fraud by working undercover within the store(s) you are assigned to. Working as a team with store management and associates in combating loss in the store(s). Developing and analyzing external theft trends, utilizing information in company reports and information gathered from store management and associates. Serve as liaison between Company and Law Enforcement and court officials to effectively prosecute external theft and fraud. Support the detection and resolution of all associate theft and fraud. Promote a safe environment for all store customers and associates. Conduct safety and loss prevention spot-checks and audits to ensure store compliance with core policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements:

Full-Time position Ability to work nights and weekends is a must. Must pass extensive background check Must pass drug screening Must be at least 18 y/o. Preferably with 2-year college degree, preferably with Criminal Justice minor, or equivalent experience Proven track record as a Loss Prevention Store Detective would be a plus. Travel is required, must have reliable transportation Individuals must be capable of effectively communicating verbally in English to persons at all levels of the organization, all customers, persons apprehended for shoplifting, law enforcement and court officials. Individuals must be capable of effectively communicating in written and verbal reports that clearly and accurately depict the events pertaining to shoplifting incidents. Strong inter-personal skills and should have a proven track record in conflict resolution, with good problem-solving skills.
